Free Download - eBay Workshop Collection 2007

Free Download - eBay Workshop Collection 2007

I have a valuable freebie for you today.

It's from Worldwide Brands, the creators
of OneSource.

They have the world's largest database
of genuine wholesale suppliers and every
year, they hold workshops for eBay sellers
on how to find wholesale products for their eBay
business.

They recently compiled all of their 2007
eBay workshops into one eBook.

The workshop titles included in the ebook are...

* From Hobby to Home Business

* How to Compete in a Crowded Market

* What is the difference between Liquidation,
  Closeouts, and Surplus

* Understanding the Basics to Importing
  Physical Products to Sell

* Building Supplier Relationships is Very
Important Especially for the Holiday Season

You can download it for free here:

http://www.worldwidebrands.com/wwb/kh_freeebookWorkshops.asp?kbid=10638

It's a great book and I'm sure you'll get a lot of
value from it.

Also, if you sell on eBay or plan to in the future,
OneSource is a great place to find wholesalers
and drop shippers for your eBay auctions.

And there are 2 big reasons you should become a
member of OneSource today:

The first reason is right now, they are running
a $30 discount to a lifetime membership to OneSource.
The discount only lasts until the end of November.
It's the lowest price you'll be able to get a
lifetime membership to OneSource.

Click here to get the full details on OneSource and
get the discount:

http://www.worldwidebrands.com/?kbid=10638

The second reason why you should get OneSource is
wholesalers have begun offering steep discounts on
their products.  They are trying to get inventory out
of their warehouses before the end of the year, so
they won't have to pay taxes on the inventory.

That rarely happens this time of year.

But, with the combination of the housing and mortgage
market, the low consumer confidence index and wholesalers
overestimating retail sales, wholesalers are looking
for a way to liquidate goods immediately.

It's a great opportunity to stock up on items to sell
right now and for the first quarter of 2008.  But you
need to take advantage of this now.

This window of opportunity closes on December 31st,
2007.

Chris Malta, the founder of Worldwide Brands, explains
how you can take advantage of this rare opportunity
and buy low from wholesalers and sell high for nice
profits in a brief audio.

You can listen to his 8-minute audio here:

http://www.worldwidebrands.com/wwb/2007_wholesale_opportunity.asp?kbid=10638

Enjoy the free eBook and the audio and I'll talk to
you soon.

World's Biggest Affiliate Program

What is the worlds biggest and most profitable affiliate program?

Think about it for a minute ....

Take a look around your screen.

Do you see any revenue generating items on this page?

If you said "YES" because you saw Google Ads you're absolutely correct.

Although Google does not call their program an affiliate program - it definitely qualifies. It's called Google Adsense and nearly everyone with a website or blog is making money from it.

Here's how it works -

You go to Google, sign-up for an Adsense account, click a few buttons to create your HTML code, and paste it into your website or blog.

When the code is displayed Google automatically places relevant content on your site for you.

Because the content is related to whatever your site is about; it is targeted to people who want to know more about what that ad has to offer.

Whenever a visitor clicks on an ad you get paid.

It's just that simple.

If you're not displaying Google Adsense Ads on your site you're losing big money. To get started right now just click the link below to sign-up for your own free Google Adsense account.

Amazon.com

Amazon.com offers up to 20 "channels" or stores you can create under a single affiliate ID.

For demonstration purposes on this blog we have setup a working store using the affiliate ID: AffiliateBlog

As you will see below our affiliate id is appended with the characters "-20".

This is because amazon automatically appends a unique identifier to each affiliate id and -20 signifies it is a North America affiliate.

Once you setup your store and 1 or more channels you also have 3 ways to promote your store.

Note: Some of the special characters in the beginning of the code are for commenting out the actual code so it does not try to display in your browser while reading this article.

1) Link to your store as a stand-alone site

Working Link: http://astore.amazon.com/affiliateblog-20

Make your store a stand-alone section of your Web site by adding a "Store" link to your main site navigation bar that links directly to your new store. This is the easiest way to integrate your store; however, it will appear to your users as if they are leaving your website when visiting your store.

2) Embed your store using an inline frame

This code must be placed in an html page to work:

<!-- <iframe realsrc="

For demonstration purposes I have simply copy and pasted the above code into this page:

http://affiliateblog.us/Amazon_Store_Inline_Example.html

An inline fraame is a great way to embed your store into any existing or new page on your Web site. This method of embedding your store will appear to your visitors as if the store is part of your site and enable them to shop without leaving your site.

If you look at the code above you will see the width is set at 90%. This, plus the fact that my sample page is set at a fixed width causes the right side of the page to be truncated.

You should have at least a small amount of html coding experience if you want to use this method or #3 below.

I will not show an example of #3 because dealing with framsets gets into more advanced html design and is beyond the scope of this article. But, you should be aware it is available in case you want to do so.

3) Integrate your store using a frameset

This code must be placed in an html page to work: (minus leading characters prior to "<frame")

<!-- <frameset rows="80,*" border="0">
<!--  <frame realsrc="INSERT_YOUR_PAGE_HERE" src="http://affiliateblog.us/admin/INSERT_YOUR_PAGE_HERE" name="topFrame" frameborder="no" scrolling="no" noresize="noresize" />
<!--  <frame realsrc="

Frame your store into your Web site using a framset by placing your store in one frame and your Web site's navigation in another frame. This method of embedding your store will also appear to your visitors as if the store is part of your Web site and enable them to shop without leaving your site.

All of the above is discussed in more details within your Amazon.com affiliate area.

A few points of interest you should take with you from this article:

1) Affiliate programs can be very easy as shown in example 1 above. All you need to do is get a link and promote it.

2) They can become a bit more complex as seen is examples 2 and 3, but also offer flexibility for integration into your own site.

3) Some affiliate programs offer real storefronts in addition to just a promotional affiliate link. Many (including Amazon.com) offer great flexibility in the design of your storefront including color schemes, text layouts, items offered in your store, etc.

4) My Amazon.com storefront allows me to us my own logo, add a custom storefront name, select my own products, add a subcategory (seen on upper right side as 'Preferred Picks'), plus - a link back to my main site.

You may want to go back and take a look at the items displayed on my store.

There are some very useful books in regards to affiliate programs and affiliate marketing that me be helpful to you.
